COUNSELLING

Supportive Counselling for Adults

Since 1994, Esquimalt Neighbourhood House Society has offered barrier free and most importantly free of charge, short term (6 to 10 sessions) counselling for adults (18+) living in the Greater Victoria Area. Our community-based supportive counselling is tailored to individual needs and includes talking, relationship building, crisis support, accompaniment and advocacy. This free service is offered to adults seeking help coping with issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, safety, addictions, abuse, stress, hopelessness, grief/loss and isolation. This much needed and vital service is primarily offered by a diverse group of volunteer counsellors who have been trained through our annual 10 month intensive training program.

Our hearts break for all of the children - the children that died and for those that survived Canada’s residential school system and the Sixties Scoop."
